About Me

I was born some 52 years ago in the beautiful City of Liverpool, England.  I have no formal writing or artistic qualifications, (unless a GCE at O level in Art & Design from Ellergreen Sixth Form College counts) preferring instead to study at the University of Life, otherwise known as The School of Hard Knocks in my native city.

Although born a city girl, I spent a lot of time in beautiful north Wales as a child on family holidays and quickly became a  country girl at heart.   I was lucky enough to make it my home in the 1980's and, as such, it holds a very special place in my heart.  I can only describe it as a magical, wonderful place, with stunningly beautiful countryside;  in fact, the further north you travel the more spectacular and dramatic the place becomes.

My first creative foray into the world of Writing was via a collection of 50 poems which was recently published under the title 'Forsaken Land.'   This is a private collection and is not currently for sale.  Until recently I was working on a second book of poetry inspired by one of the most beautiful places in England, but that is on the back burner for now.  However all I can say about it right now is that this glorious place is the last well kept secret, and perfect wilderness left in this great country of ours.  When I am able, I intend to spend as much time as I can in that beautiful place so the work can be completed.

I was recently back in my beloved north Wales, where I came across some old forgotten photos I took when I was there in the 1980's and later in the 1990's.  I've just uploaded 25 of these photos to the (surprisinlgy entitled) Photographs page under the heading 'North Wales Portfolio' and you can now find them under the cobweb photo currently on the page.  Some of the shots are so pretty I had forgotten how perfect the scenery is up there; it literally takes my breath away.  So, you're more than welcome to have a look at them and I hope you'll see what I mean about how lovely north Wales is.

Although I now live in the south of England in a semi rural location, I still hold north Wales, and the last perfect wilderness as special places in my life and I hope one day to return to one of them.
